In 2023, I felt God call me to explore overseas missions. At the same time, I felt that my time at my job was coming to a close. I resigned and left Australia for five months with the only plan being that I would follow Jesus across the world, leaving what would come after the five months for Him to unravel in His time. I ended up abroad for eight months and although I went out to simply be a labourer in the harvest, God did so much more than I expected with that time -- He disrupted my 'normal' and called me out of my comfort zone to teach me about my true identity in Him and to rely only on Him. With that came deep intimacy with the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit and a realignment of my heart away from the ways of this world to God's. I'm so grateful. I then felt it was time to return to Melbourne which also meant it was time to look for a new job. It was not a process I was looking forward to, having experienced before how demoralising, lonely, and slow it can be. But God! I experienced such peace in just sitting at Jesus' feet through the process (literally -- it was the only thing I could do!) I'm also so grateful for God providing wonderful friends to walk and sit and pray with me during this stretching season. After nine months of applications and waiting with Jesus, here is where my testimony is currently at: God has opened up a door to exactly the job that I was hoping for! And more miraculously, I can confidently say that I was only able to get through the last nine months with joy, peace, and freedom because of His Spirit and because He kept reminding me of who He is and who I am as His daughter. He is truly a living God who speaks and a good Father who provides everything you need in every season. I'm so excited to be back in the workforce with a fresh perspective and determination to do everything for Jesus. God filled me up to the FULL and I know He is doing the same for each of you! All glory to God!
