I had just joined CityLife Casey and shortly after I also joined a Life Group. I had just gone through a divorce and was having a hard time as a new single parent, and yet the Life Group supported me with prayer and in practical ways at every turn. Hallelujah - praise God! Now, years later, I am still part of the same group and I have felt loved by a non-judging community and have been generously supported each step of the way (and also able to do that for others!). I love the Life Group I am in and love gaining a deeper understanding about the word of God. Through the Life Group, I am able to listen to God's guidance and shared discernment with friends. To be honest, some weeknights can be hard to go to Life Group cos I have work the next day but I push myself to go and always find it so life giving and just what I need at that time. It helps me remember why God has placed me in my workplace! I am so grateful for my group because they have taught me so much about forgiveness and relying on God's word to guide every single step in making decisions. In life we need a Christian community where we can share our love and gospel learning with one another and we can’t get that just at church on Sunday mornings. Life Group is like a family especially for us who are migrants with not many relatives here. Thank God for the Life Groups we have at our church!
