Multiply for the MissionNote for Leaders:
This guide is designed to help you lead an engaging and meaningful discussion. You don’t have to go through every question—choose the ones that best suit your group. Encourage participation, keep it conversational, and help members see how they can apply the message to their lives.
Leader’s Guide Summary:
Keep it simple – focus on real-life application. Encourage sharing – it’s about growth, not perfection. Don’t rush – let meaningful conversations flow.
Opening Question:Can you think of a time when you invested in something (skills, relationships, finances) and saw it grow?
1. Multiplication Begins with Stewardship (Matthew 25:14-30, NLT)Key Verse:"The master was full of praise. ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’" – Matthew 25:21 (NLT)
Explanation:Jesus tells a parable about a master who gives three servants different amounts of silver (talents).
Two servants invest and double what they were given—the master rewards them.
The third servant hides his money out of fear—the master calls him wicked and lazy and takes it away.
Key Takeaway:God gives us resources (time, skills, money, influence). He expects us to use them wisely, not waste them. When we are faithful with little, He entrusts us with more.
Discussion Questions:1. What are some "talents" (gifts, skills, or opportunities) that God has given you?
2. What might it look like to bury a talent instead of using it?
3. How can you faithfully multiply what God has placed in your hands this year?
2. Multiplication Has a Mission (Matthew 25:31-46, NLT)Key Verse:"And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’" – Matthew 25:40 (NLT)
Explanation:Jesus describes the final judgment, where He separates people into two groups: the sheep and the goats.
The sheep (righteous) are rewarded because they fed the hungry, helped the poor, and cared for
those in need.
The goats (unfaithful) are condemned because they ignored those in need.
Key Takeaway:True faith leads to action. If we love God, we will use what we have to help others.
Discussion Questions:4. What does this passage teach us about God’s priorities?
5. Where do you see needs in your community, workplace, or family that you could meet?
6. How can we shift our mindset from “having enough for myself” to “overflowing to bless others”?
3. Multiplication Leads to Eternal Rewards (Matthew 25:46, NLT)Key Verse:"And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life." – Matthew 25:46 (NLT)
Explanation:
Jesus teaches that those who live faithfully and serve others will receive eternal life. Those who ignored their mission will face judgment.
Key Takeaway:Our actions matter for eternity. How we use what God has given us affects our eternal future.
Discussion Questions:
7. How does knowing that God rewards faithfulness encourage you?
8. What’s one practical way you can multiply your resources (time, money, energy) for God’s mission this week?
Final Reflection:What’s one takeaway from today’s discussion that challenged or encouraged you? How can we support each other in being faithful stewards this week?
Prayer Focus:Thank God for what He has entrusted to you.
Ask Him to show you areas where you can be faithful and multiply.
Pray for a heart that overflows to serve others.
Bonus Scriptures on Multiplication (NLT):Multiplication of Time – “Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.” – Ephesians 5:16

And in the world to come, that person will have eternal life.” – Mark 10:29-30
