Weekend Services Volunteer Coordinator
CityLife Church Knox has an exciting opportunity for an organised and energetic person to join us as our Weekend Services Volunteer Coordinator. The Weekend Services Volunteer Coordinator will provide both pastoral and administrative support for weekend services and church events.
This includes coordinating and liaising with volunteer ministry teams involved in weekend services at Knox Campus, such as the Venue Managers, Welcome Team, Connection Lounge Team, Baby Dedication, Water Baptism, Alpha, Life Tracks, Car Park Team and Prayer Teams.  Additionally, this role requires some weekend hours to oversee and support the smooth operation of these service areas.

This is a full-time role and will be based in Wantirna South at CityLife Knox.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for all weekend service teams
  • Ensure all volunteer positions are filled before each weekend service.
  • Attend either Saturday or Sunday services to oversee volunteer operations, identify gaps, and address training needs.
  • Conduct weekly reviews of Venue Managers' feedback, following up on any required actions with Building Maintenance or other relevant departments.
  • Organize and facilitate team meetings for various service teams in collaboration with the Head of Pastoral – Knox.
  • Provide support for all major church events as needed.


The successful candidate will have:

  • Theological qualification preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, select and develop leaders/volunteers.
  • Demonstrated confidence in spiritual gifts and ministry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to motivate leaders and grow volunteer leadership teams.
  • Leadership - effective consulting and decision-making skills and experience.

Kids Pastor - Lower Primary (Knox)
CityLife Kids Knox are looking for an energetic and creative individual to join their dynamic team as the CityLife Kids Pastor – Lower Primary. The Kids Pastor – Lower Primary will assist the CityLife Kids Pastor - Knox (Primary Supervisor) with the planning and organising of the administrative and ministry (care and spiritual development) aspects of CityLife Kids Lower Primary to create a safe, fun and God-filled environment.
They  will lead CityLife Kids Lower Primary.

This is a part-time role - FTE 0.6 (3 days per week)

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Effectively plan, execute and provide feedback for Primary curriculum and weekend services alongside the team of Primary pastors.
  • Coordinate Lower Primary rooms.
  • Direct communications to Primary teams via various mediums.
  • Lead CityLife Kids volunteer teams and co-ordinate weekend programmes as required on either a Saturday or Sunday (as rostered).
  • Assist in recruiting, equipping and training Primary volunteers and to ensure update of all Primary data within the Church database system alongside Team Supervisor.
  • Host and lead other staff teams and volunteers on weekend services as well as discuss and implement appropriate strategies to enhance engagement of children, families and volunteers for weekend services.
  • Co-ordinate Kids Worship and oversee with Kids Band (when operational) and liaise with events concerning band/choir occasions.
  • Assist in the pastoral oversight of Lower Primary children and their families through teaching, encouragement, discipleship milestones and other necessary programmes outside of weekend services. Sensitive follow-up of absences and behavioural issues as required. 


The successful applicant will have:

  • Minimum Certificate 4 in training/education/teaching or ministry/theology, or working towards, desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication – including public speaking, and report writing.
  • Demonstrated confidence in spiritual gifts and ministry.

Online Production Lead - Fixed Term
CityLife Church has an exciting opportunity for a creative and energetic individual to join a dynamic Online and Communications team as our Online Production Lead. This is a 12-month fixed term position of FTE 0.4 (2 days per week). The Online Production Lead will oversee the technical quality, creative consistency, and delivery of CityLife Church’s Online services and bespoke events.
This role is instrumental in shaping the visual and technical expression of Online Church and is responsible for developing and leading a volunteer tech team.

Key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the technical quality and consistency of the Online production and streams, both on weekends and for bespoke events as needed.
  • Work closely with the Knox Creative Production staff during the week to ensure Online weekend technical requirements are catered for and in place.
  • Work with the Online Pastor and Communications staff to develop suitable “look and feel” for church services.
  • Ensuring that the Online Hosts are comfortable with production requirements for the weekend services and mixed into the broadcast stream suitably.
  • Ensuring that equipment is maintained to a high standard and that services are delivered with efficiency and safety in mind.


The successful applicant will have:

  • Streaming and live production knowledge, including setup and testing and troubleshooting is essential 
  • Experience in streaming and live production
  • Experience in video content creation and graphic design highly desirable 
  • Experience in teaching and training individuals and small groups in production operations and troubleshooting
  • Confidence in identifying and recruiting talented volunteers and supervising and upholding standards of kingdom behaviour and professionalism
  • Media or Film/TV qualifications desirable but not essential

Casual Receptionist - Knox
We are currently seeking a Casual Reception Assistant for our Knox-based Reception team. You will be part of a friendly, vibrant team who welcome visitors, have a ready smile and servant heart.
This role interacts with staff and volunteers across many ministries and complements our permanent Reception Team by providing Reception cover on rostered Thursday/Friday afternoons for staff events and staff annual leave.

To be successful in this role you will be familiar with church culture and have excellent people skills. You will have attention to detail and be good at adapting to extremely busy or quiet periods.

This is an onsite role at CityLife Church in Knox at 1248 High Street Road Wantirna South, 3152

Young Adult Network Pastor
We have an exciting opportunity for a Young Adults Network Pastor at our Knox site. The Young Adults Network Pastor will contribute to the key ministry components of the vision of CityLife by providing leadership and overseeing a network of Life Groups for Young Adults in the Knox Region.
CityLife Church is committed to “raise up fervent followers of Jesus Christ who will reach out and impact communities, cities and nations for the Kingdom of God.”

To facilitate this vision, we have four key components of CityLife Church, including weekend meetings, Life Groups, LifeTracks and Coaching. Life Groups are the primary focus which exist for the purpose of pastoral care, discipleship, ministry development and outreach.

The Young Adults Network Pastor Knox is responsible to contribute to these ministry components by providing leadership and overseeing a network of Life Groups for young adults at the Knox congregation.

This is an FTE 0.6 position that will include weekend work.  Please note that applicant must have Australian citizenship or full working rights for Australia.

Key responsibilities for this role will include but are not limited to:

  • Working with the Young Adults Pastor to implement the vision and strategy for the Young Adults Ministry (Knox), with a specific focus on ages 18-25 within the YA network.
  • Oversee a network of Life Groups within the Young Adults network.
  • To organise and deliver pastoral care to Life Group Leaders and Coaches, as well as young adults withing the network phone calls, prayer, life group visitations, pastoral catch ups, hospital visitation, and making referrals to other specialists for appropriate support beyond pastoral guidance. This may occur during evenings.
  • Assist the Young Adults Pastor to ensure that the Leadership requirements and other CityLife processes for volunteers are fulfilled. 
  • To resource Coaches and Life Group leaders so that they are equipped to promote the health, growth, and multiplication of their Life Group.
  • To encourage and facilitate spiritual growth opportunities for each Coach, Life Group leader and co-leader by ensuring that there is effective discipleship and accountability.
  • Be part of the teaching team or hosting at various Young Adult meetings as required, and as required on weekend services. 
  • Develop and maintain safe and creative environments and processes for all Young Adult activities.


The successful candidate will have:
  • Theological or Pastoral studies (or working towards) 
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, select and develop leaders/volunteers.
  • Demonstrated confidence in spiritual gifts and ministry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication – including public speaking.

Creative Knox Weekend & Events Assistant
CityLife Church at Knox has an exciting opportunity for a Creative Weekend & Events Assistant to serve within our Creative Ministry. The Creative Weekend & Events Assistant ensures the effective communication and co-ordination with ministries and leaders involved with Weekend Services, and Events and will carry out administrative duties for Creative Ministries.
The Creative Weekend & Events Assistant (CWEA) provides key assistance to the Creative Ministries Pastor in the areas of development of vision, creative input, collaboration, administration, and delivery of CityLife Weekends and Events. The CWEA ensures effective communication and coordination with Ministries and Leaders involved with Weekend Services and Events.

CityLife runs a number of Events through the year, these include, but are not limited to, Team Launch, Easter, Mother’s Day, Inspire, Father’s Day, Team Appreciation, Leader’s Summit and Christmas.  The CWEA would assist with the development of broad concepts and direction for Events by providing key assistance to the Creative Ministries Pastor.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide assistance for the organisation and coordination of weekend services.
  • Assist with the facilitation of relevant weekly meetings for planning and reviewing Weekend Services.
  • Provide support and assistance, including contributing creative input, to the Creative Ministries Pastor in the development of Events, including the development of themes, creative delivery, overall design, vision, and implementation
  • Work collaboratively with the Creative Ministries Pastor and other relevant stakeholders (i.e., Production, Music, Pastoral, Facilities Manager, Central Services, Communications) to bring agreed elements of the Event together
  • Facilitate relevant meetings with key stakeholders as required
  • Coordinate relevant bookings, hiring and/or purchasing for Events including catering where needed.
  • Establish appropriate plans and timelines for the preparation and production of Events, including rehearsal schedules for all teams involved
  • Work with Creative staff and volunteers to ensure schedules are adhered to


The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience with event management or production assistance will be highly regarded
  • Flexibility and calmness with last-minute changes 
  • Personally creative and encourages creativity in others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Team building and conflict resolution skills 
  • Effective decision making and problem solving
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide support to events run to tight deadlines
  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite is essential (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with Planning Centre is preferred

Creative Production Leader - Teams (Knox)
CityLife Church at Knox has an exciting opportunity for a Creative Production Leader (Teams) to serve within our Creative Ministry. The Creative Production Leader (Teams) will facilitate the production of impactful services for CityLife Knox, by developing the strength of Production Teams and systems for Weekend Services and Events – fostering in the team a culture of competency and character, equipping and resourcing teams and caring for individuals as needed.
The Creative Production Leader (Teams) is responsible for coordinating the Production Team’s approach to the Weekend Services, ensuring all aspects of Production prepare the way for people to hear & receive from God.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Working closely with Services Planning Team, develop and ensure production deliverables are fit for purpose at Weekend Services
  • Active presence overseeing Weekend Services including personally delivering Production services and leadership of troubleshooting and on-job training and encouragement of volunteers
  • Ensure all volunteers feel valued, are constantly being developed in competency & character, and carry a sense of purpose & team spirit. Develop the spiritual & worship aspects of the Production ministry to be an integral part of this serving community, ensuring a safe place for each member to grow in their faith
  • Identify and recruit Production Team volunteers, maintain their engagement, and guide their skill development
  • Manage and perform scheduling and rostering of staff and volunteers
  • Solve and communicate any issues or conflicts regarding Production workload and resources from staff and volunteers with Creative Production Director and/or other relevant ministries.
  • Ensure set up and pack down of stage layouts and production systems for services and events
  • As approved by Creative Production Director, manage the Production budget in collaboration with the other Production Leader
  • Safe, efficient storage of production equipment, and appropriate provision of production resources in Knox site rooms as required


The successful candidate will have:

  • Foundational knowledge in audio mixing, lighting, cameras and other A/V equipment, as well as setup, use and operation
  • OHS – demonstrated understanding of main risks and controls in an auditorium environment (manual handling, trips and falls, electrical, noise, height)
  • Maintains current understandings of contemporary production styles, equipment and techniques
  • Understanding of Biblical knowledge and Christian doctrine
  • Visual, lighting and sound mixing experience in church or highly similar 
  • Audio, Media, Science or Electronic degree/diploma an advantage but not essential

Kidz Bizz - Casual Relief Support
Kids Bizz is currently seeing a Casual Relief Support person. This is a great opportunity, and we are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated person provide support to the Kidz Bizz Coordinator and also the playgroup leaders and working with the team to fulfil the Kidz Bizz Vision and Mission which is “To demonstrate the love of Christ to families with young children in our local community”.
Kidz Bizz playgroups are run weekly by trained volunteer leaders from CityLife Church. We offer a unique, two-hour program which allows the children to learn through different play experiences while also encouraging parents to build friendships.

Key responsibilities include – but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the room is prepared, welcome parents and children. 
  • Engage with new families to ensure they feel welcome and supported in our Kidz Bizz space.
  • Facilitate and lead mat time (sharing God’s story) and leading music time (worship) as per curriculum. 
  • Explaining craft and coordinating snack time.
  • Supervise outdoor play and interact with families. 
  • Identify and refer parents and volunteers who require pastoral care (physical, emotional and spiritual) to the Kidz Bizz Coordinator. 


The successful applicant will have:

  • 1 – 2 years’ experience leading or working with children & families.
  • Understanding of best practice requirements involved in running playgroups is desired but not essential
  • Previous experience with volunteers

Youth Pastor - Junior High (Yrs 7-9) Knox
The Youth Pastor (JNR High) role is to lead, develop, and implement a vibrant discipleship environment for young people in Years 7-9. This includes overseeing the Life Group system, providing pastoral care to youth and leaders, and cultivating a leadership pipeline within the EPIC Youth ministry. The role supports the broader EPIC Youth vision to see young people encounter Jesus, grow in their faith, and overflow with Kingdom life in their schools, homes, and communities.

  • Responsible to identify, recruit, and onboard new Life Group Leaders, cultivating a pipeline of empowered and equipped leaders as well as disseminating culture and vision.
  • Manage budgets associated with the Youth Junior High: Year 7-9 ministry.
  • Lead and oversee JNR High-specific events and gatherings, ensuring alignment with CityLife’s vision and values.


The successful candidate will have:

  • Cert IV in Theology (or working towards) is preferable.
  • Previous experience working with youth in a pastoral setting.
  • Understanding of current Child Safe Standards including risk management processes to ensure a safe environment.
  • Demonstrates sound understanding of biblical knowledge and Christian doctrine.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, select, develop and lead leaders.
  • Track record of successful small group, coaching and pastoral care skills i.e. giving and receiving feedback, delegation and accountability.
  • Demonstrated confidence in spiritual gifts and ministry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication – including public speaking, and report writing.
  • Team building skills.
  • Effective decision-making and problem solving.
